In Germany, the Egret GT is approved as a small electric vehicle and can be ridden without a driving licence. Wearing a helmet is not compulsory. It may be used on cycle paths and roads, but not on pavements. Insurance and an insurance sticker are mandatory.

The Egret GT is the world’s first e-scooter with adjustable oil-damped upside-down suspension – developed together with suspension specialists RST. With 50 mm of travel at the front and adjustable coilover suspension at the rear, your suspension adapts to you, not the other way round.
The extra-large 13-inch pneumatic tyres, 2.5 inches wide and with integrated puncture protection, act like an additional shock absorber. Together with the full suspension, they deliver maximum grip and a smooth, composed ride – from tarmac to gravel tracks.

The stated range is based on optimal test conditions. In everyday use, factors such as payload, outside temperature, gradients, headwinds and the selected riding mode affect the actual range. In Eco mode on flat terrain, you will get closest to the maximum range. In Sport mode, with hills and a heavier payload, the range may be considerably lower.
No. The Egret GT has a top speed of 20 km/h and is classified in Germany under the eKFV (Electric Small Vehicles Ordinance). You do not need a driving licence and may use cycle paths and roads. Requirements: you must be at least 14 years old and have a valid insurance sticker.
The Egret GT weighs approximately 33 kg, including its 5.9 kg battery. It can be folded and stored in a garage, cellar, camper van or car. However, because of its weight, the GT is less suitable if you need to carry it up several flights of stairs regularly.
The Egret GT has 62 Nm of torque and can tackle gradients of up to 28%. This covers the vast majority of everyday inclines. On particularly steep, long climbs combined with a heavy payload, performance may be reduced when the battery level is low. On gravel tracks, traction may be limited on extremely steep gradients.
Egret offers instalment payments via easyCredit (2 to 60 months, for orders from €750) and Klarna (3 to 36 months). The first instalment is due no earlier than 30 days after delivery, subject to a credit check. You can find further details and exact monthly instalments on the instalment payment page.
You can visit the Egret showroom in Hamburg directly or find an authorised service partner near you. Alternatively, you can submit an online repair request. Spare parts are available through the parts shop for at-home repairs.
The Egret GT’s lithium-ion battery is certified to EN 50604-1 – currently the most stringent safety standard for e-scooter batteries. This includes tests under extreme loads, crush tests, temperature shocks and simulated accidents. The battery is water-resistant to IPX7.

To be honest: At approximately 33 kg, the Egret GT is not a lightweight. It is well suited to storing in the boot of an estate car, in a garage or in a camper van. It is not ideal for carrying up several flights of stairs every day – the Egret Unit or X Series would be a better choice for that.
