Consent to the processing of your data in the MyEgret app

Information in accordance with Article 13 GDPR

In accordance with Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we inform you about the processing of your personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data").

Below we explain which of your data we process for which purposes and what rights you have in this regard.

Purposes and legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Improvement of customer service
  • Product monitoring, fault analysis, implementation of fault rectification measures
  • Predictive maintenance and service offers for users
  • Product improvement

Specifically, the following value-added services are currently offered:

  • Provision of service information on the scooter
  • Battery charge level
  • Remaining range
  • Light status
  • Current riding mode
  • Scooter locked (Yes / No)
  • Error messages from the scooter
  • Activation status
  • Provision of your personal trip history
  • Kilometres travelled (total)
  • Number of journeys (total)
  • Time travelled (total)
  • Per journey
  • Date and time
  • Distance
  • Time
  • Consumption
  • Average speed (calculated within the app)

With the app, the user can make settings on the scooter on their smartphone and, for example, subsequently lock it, activate or deactivate the lights and change the driving mode. In future versions, it will also be possible to change the PIN.

We use the pseudonymised trip data of the registered scooters to send service offers to the users by e-mail (predictive maintenance offers) in accordance with the service messages and use of the scooter.

The pseudonymised data is used by us as the product manufacturer to improve user-friendliness and ensure smooth functionality as well as to further develop our products.

There is no evaluation of user-specific behaviour.

Categories of data

We process the following data for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes:

User-related data

  • Surname
  • First name
  • e-mail address
  • Delivery address/billing address

Scooter-related data (with link to the user):

  • Scooter ID (serial number)
  • Version (20km/h or free)
  • Software version on the scooter
  • Error codes (only if errors occur)
  • Battery charge
  • Range

Trip-related data (with link to the scooter):

  • Kilometres travelled (without position data)
  • Driving mode
  • Power consumption
  • Average speed

Your data is processed on the basis of the information you have provided and your voluntary consent:

  • The processing of this data is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR)

Recipients of your data or parts thereof, if necessary:

Internal: Employees of the person responsible

External: IT service provider for server operation

The data is processed on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. An order processing contract has been concluded in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and the service provider is audited on a regular basis.

Duration of processing

We will only process your data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes.

Should you wish your data to be deleted, we will delete your data immediately upon your request.

Transmission to third countries

Your data will not be transferred to third countries.

Provision of your data

We need your contact details to provide our services. If you do not provide us with your contact details, you will not be able to use the scooter or the services.

Your rights as a data subject

According to the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Information about the processing of your data
  • Correction or deletion of your data
  • Restriction of processing (only storage possible)
  • Objection to the processing
  • Data portability
  • Revocation of your given consent with effect for the future
  • Complaint to the data protection supervisory authority.

We do not use any systems for automated decision-making or profiling.
